The purpose of a Strategic Plan is to identify priorities for the community, Council and Staff by outlining actions and determining strategic goals and objectives that are guided by the needs and aspirations of the community.

The Township of Adjala-Tosorontio is preparing a Parks Master Plan to ensure that our system of parks and outdoor spaces continues to meet resident needs into the future. The Plan will consider community input, demographic shifts, emerging activities, asset condition, and more to set priorities for improving local parks, trails, and outdoor spaces. The Plan will also consider new parkland, facility, and service needs to the year 2034.

How to Participate:

Community engagement is a vital part of this project as it will help us better understand your satisfaction with the current parks and outdoor spaces in Adjala-Tosorontio. Start thinking about what parks mean to you by considering the following: 

• What are the best things about parks and outdoor recreation in Adjala-Tosorontio?

• How can the Township’s parks and outdoor spaces be improved?

• What new amenities or programs would you like to see in local parks

The Township of Adjala-Tosorontio is developing a 10-year, community-driven master plan to guide operational improvements and enhance how the Adjala-Tosorontio Fire Department’s fire protection services are provided.

The Township has obtained the services of the Emergency Management Group Inc. (EMG). EMG is an Ontario based consulting firm that has worked with many fire departments in developing their fire master plans, station assessments, and fire service reviews.
