Honouring Former Deputy Mayor Little
It is with profound sadness Mayor Anderson, Council and Staff learned of the death of former municipal leader Doug Little.
Mr. Little, a former member of Township Council and lifelong resident of the Township passed away on April 11, 2024. Former Deputy Mayor Little has left an everlasting mark on our community. He was elected to Council in 1994 and served 24 years, 10 of those years as Councillor and 14 years as Deputy Mayor and County of Simcoe Councillor.
“Doug served the community well and was a straight shooter, never afraid of speaking his mind.”, said Mayor Scott Anderson. “His tenure on Council for 24 years provided experience to new members of Council, including myself, and I was pleased to serve alongside Doug for two terms. Doug was a pillar in the community and his contributions to Adjala-Tosorontio will be a lasting legacy.”
Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. Flags at the Township office will be flown at half-mast to honour Mr. Little.
