We are excited to announce our new Automatic Aid Agreement with Clearview Township, which will improve response times for the Glencairn community. Due to the growing population in recent years, Glencairn has seen a need for expanded service boundaries to enhance response capabilities. The Clearview Fire and Emergency Services Department will help cover areas along the northern boundary of the Township, extending from Centre Line Road to the boundary with CFB Borden, and south to the 30th Sideroad Tosorontio.

Currently, the response times from Everett to Glencairn are 13 minutes, and from Loretto to Glencairn are 26 minutes. With this new Automatic Aid Agreement, Glencairn residents will benefit from faster response times, with Clearview Fire responding first, at 9 minutes from Creemore and 8 minutes from New Lowell.

Adjala-Tosorontio units will still respond to major incidents such as fire, motor vehicle accidents.  Burn permits, fire prevention, and public education will still be the responsibility of ATFD.

Additionally, this agreement includes the provision of ice and water rescue services for the entire Adjala-Tosorontio area.
