The Adjala-Tosorontio Fire Department relies on volunteer “paid on call” firefighters to staff our fire department. These individuals are committed to providing fire protection services in their local areas and the community at large.

Volunteer firefighters play an important role in keeping our communities safe from fire and other hazards and provide important Public Education and Fire Prevention services.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid G Ontario Drivers Licence
  • Reside within  8 kms of an ATFD Fire Station
    • Station 1: 6234 County Road 13, Everett ON
    • Station 2: 2821 Simcoe County Road 50, Loretto ON
  • NFPA 1001 and 1072
  • OFAI Stage 1/FACT and STAGE 3/FPAT assessments (Do not register for testing until requested later in recruitment process.)

Applicants must complete Stage 1/FACT and Stage 3/FPAT assessments. All fees associated with testing are the responsibility of the applicant.
