The Township of Adjala-Tosorontio has received a complete application for a Plan of Subdivision and a Zoning By-law amendment. This development is proposed in addition to the already draft approved Farsight subdivision located in Everett. There has been an initial circulation with another circulation required for the August public meeting at Council. The applicant has filed an appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT), due to the non-decision of the municipality.

Through discussions between the County of Simcoe, the Township, and the applicant, it was determined that an Official Plan Amendment is necessary to consider the proposed development. The Township has received a complete application for the Official Plan Amendment and will prepare a notice of hearing for a public meeting at a future date. The public meeting allows for residents to make comments, ask questions or voice concerns with regards to the proposal. After Council concludes taking into consideration all public input, and comments from internal and external agencies, the applications will go back to Council for a final decision. Once the decision has been made, there is a twenty day appeal period to appeal the decision of Council.
