Outdoor Ice Rinks
Skating is a favourite pastime for many of our residents, and we need your help to provide outdoor skating opportunities this winter! The program, which is a collaborative effort between residents and the Township, provides community building opportunities where neighbours work together to operate outdoor rinks.

NOTE: Ice Rinks are open based on weather conditions. Please abide by the Township Outdoor Ice Rink Policy and Guidelines at all times.
Locations
Outdoor rink locations are determined based on where community volunteers are available and willing to help. Each rink requires dedicated individuals to take on the responsibility of maintaining and operating it throughout the season, so locations are chosen in neighbourhoods where volunteers are able to commit their time and effort. This ensures that rinks are safely managed, well cared for, and accessible to residents at parks across the Township.
Currently, all outdoor rinks are closed.
Coordinator & Volunteer Information
Our Outdoor Ice Rink Program wouldn’t be possible without the help of our Coordinators and Volunteers!
Coordinator
Some of the duties of a Coordinator include:
- Provide Outdoor Ice Rink maintenance training to volunteers, and ensure procedures are followed.
- To co-ordinate all of the volunteers appointed to a given rink.
- Act as a liaison between the Township and other coordinators/volunteers.
- Available to act as the contact person for any Township or public inquiries or emergencies.

Some of the duties of a Volunteer Include:
- Attend Outdoor Ice Rink maintenance training.
- Inspect and maintain the ice surface in a safe and operable condition.
All Coordinators and Volunteers must agree to, sign, and abide by the terms of the according agreement with the Township. Any individuals found to not be in compliance with the agreement will be removed from their position. Review the Township’s Outdoor Ice Rink Policy.
