Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio has received an application under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, for an Official Plan Amendment & Zoning By-law Amendment for the property legally described as Adjala Concession 6 West Part Lot 29, RP 51R37226 Parts 2 and 3, and Adjala Concession 6 West Part Lot 29, RP 51R37226 Parts 4 and 5 and municipally known as 4503 & 4507 County Road 50, Adjala-Tosorontio.
Synopsis: To consider an Official Plan Amendment to redesignate the lands municipally known as 4503 County Road 50, together with the lands proposed to be added through a future lot boundary adjustment from 4507 County Road 50, to a site-specific Agricultural Exception designation, and a concurrent Zoning By-law Amendment to amend the General Industrial Exception (M1-2) Zone to a site-specific General Industrial Exception (M1-XX) Zone and rezone a portion of the lands from the Agricultural (A) Zone to a site-specific Agricultural Exception (A-XX) Zone. The purpose of the applications is to recognize and permit existing and proposed agricultural-related and limited non-agricultural uses associated with the operation at 4503 County Road 50 and to facilitate a future lot boundary adjustment between the subject properties.

There will be a comment period from July 16, 2026, to August 5, 2026. People can send their comments through letters, faxes, emails, voice messages, video clips or by registering with the Clerk’s Department, to speak at the public meeting. The Clerk’s contact information can be found below:

Comments received after the commenting period will not be placed on the agenda; however, they will be received by the Clerk’s Department and kept on record with the application, reviewed by the Planning Department, and entered into the public record at a future date.
And Take Notice that these meetings will be live streamed by the municipality through our iCompass portal.
If a person, public body, or specified person as defined in the Planning Act would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Council of the Township of Adjala‑Tosorontio in the case of a zoning by‑law amendment, or the decision of the County of Simcoe in the case of an official plan amendment, to the Ontario Land Tribunal, but does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the by‑law is passed or the official plan amendment is adopted, that person, public body, or specified person is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person, public body, or specified person does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township before the by‑law is passed or the official plan amendment is adopted, they may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

Additional information regarding the Official Plan Amendment & Zoning By-law Amendment is available to the public upon request to the Planner through letter, email, fax, or voice message between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
