Take Notice that an application has been received from Tim and Laura Agnew for a minor variance from Zoning By-law No. 03-56, pursuant to Section 45 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended.
Location: 8891 5 Sideroad Adjala, Adjala-Tosorontio.
Proposal: The subject lands are zoned Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation (ORMC) Zone under Zoning By-law No. 03-56, as amended. A single detached dwelling and accessory structures are permitted within this zone.
The applicant is proposing to construct a two-storey accessory structure with a total floor area of approximately 111.5 m² (1,200 sq. ft.). The first storey is intended to be used as a garage for the parking and storage of vehicles, while the second storey is proposed to be used strictly for storage purposes.
A Minor Variance is required to permit an accessory structure with a height of 7.3 metres and a total area of approximately 111.5 m² (1,200 sq. ft.), whereas Zoning By-law No. 21-15 (amending Zoning By-law No. 03-56) requires that any accessory structure exceeding 75 m² in area shall be limited to one storey in height and shall not exceed the height of the primary residential structure. The proposed accessory structure exceeds the height of the existing dwelling.

A copy of this Notice has been circulated to all assessed property owners within 60 metres of the subject property as per the requirements of the Planning Act. The attached Location Map identifies the general location of the subject lands, and the Site Plan illustrates the proposed Minor Variance. You are entitled to attend the Public Hearing and express your views regarding this application. You may attend in person, or you may be represented by an agent or legal counsel.
