Application for Consent

Take Notice that an application has been received from Somerville (T) Land Holding for a Consent, pursuant to Sections 53 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended.
Location: 3364 Concession Road 2, Adjala-Tosorontio.
Proposal: The purpose of the Consent application is to sever a portion of the subject lands to create one (1) new rural residential lot fronting onto Tandragee Road. The proposed severed lot will have an approximate frontage of 60.4 metres and a lot area of 0.4 hectares and is intended to accommodate a future single detached dwelling serviced by private on-site water and sewage systems. The retained lands will have an approximate frontage of 220.8 metres on Tandragee Road and a total lot area of 37.36 hectares. The retained lands will continue to be used for agricultural purposes, including the cultivation of Christmas trees and nursery stock as part of the existing Somerville Nurseries operation. The retained lands are currently developed with a single detached dwelling and accessory buildings.
Take Notice that the Committee of Adjustment will hold a Hybrid Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. If you would like to participate virtually, make comments through letters, faxes, emails, voice messages or video clips or be notified of the Committee’s Decision regarding this application, please contact the Planning Department.

A copy of this Notice has been circulated to all assessed property owners within 60 metres of the subject property as per the requirements of the Planning Act. The attached Location Map identifies the general location of the subject lands, and the Site Plan illustrates the proposed Minor Variance.
You are entitled to attend the Public Hearing and express your views regarding these applications. You may attend in person, or you may be represented by an agent or legal counsel.
