Application for Expansion of a Legal Non-Conforming Use – Section 45(2)
Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended – Sections 45(5) & 45(6)

Take Notice that an application has been received from Palgrave Fellowship of Christians for Section 45(2) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended.

Location:  1713 Concession Road 2, Adjala-Tosorontio.

Proposal: The subject lands are zoned Oak Ridges Moraine Linkage (ORM L) and Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation (ORM C) under Zoning By-law No. 03-56, as amended. The property has been operating as a children’s camp, known as Upper Canada Camp, since 1999 and is also periodically rented to outside groups for similar camp-related uses, which are considered legal non-conforming. The owners propose to expand the existing multi-use (church) building through the construction of a 54.4 m² addition to the north and a 301.5 m² addition to the east, both of which will be attached to the existing structure. No other buildings or structures on the property are proposed to be altered. The purpose of the application is to permit the expansion of the existing legal non-conforming use to support ongoing camp operations.

Take Notice that the Committee of Adjustment will hold a Hybrid Public Hearing on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. If you would like to participate virtually, make comments through letters, faxes, emails, voice messages or video clips or be notified of the Committee’s Decision regarding this application, please contact the Planning Department.
