Application for Minor Variance

Take notice that an application has been received from Tom & Christina Miguel for a minor variance from Zoning By-law No. 03-56, which amends Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 03-57, pursuant to Section 45 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended.
Location: 1198 Concession Road 8, Adjala-Tosorontio.
Proposal: This property is zoned Oak Ridges Moraine Linkage (ORM L) Zone. A minor variance is required to permit an accessory structure (pool house) in the front yard, whereas Section 3.4(e) of Zoning By-law 03-56 requires accessory buildings to be located in the side or rear yard. The variance would allow the existing dwelling—originally intended for demolition under the approved site plan—to be retained and repurposed as a pool house. A new principal dwelling is currently under construction at the rear of the property.

A copy of this Notice has been circulated to all assessed property owners within 60 metres of the subject property as per the requirements of the Planning Act. The attached Location Map identifies the general location of the subject lands, and the Site Plan illustrates the proposed Minor Variance.
