Mayor and Council
The Township of Adjala-Tosorontio is governed by an elected Council consisting of a Mayor, Deputy Mayor and five(5) Councillors. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected at large, while each Councillor is elected by the eligible electors of his or her respective ward. Mayor and Council are elected for a four-year term from 2022 to 2026.

Council Meetings
Members of the public are an important part of the local government process and are welcome to appear at Council meetings to make their views known to Council.
Council meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month. Request forms must be submitted no later than noon on the first Wednesday of the month. Submitting a request form does not guarantee placement on the upcoming agenda.
Appear as a Presentation
Persons who wish to share information on matters that fall under Council’s mandate should request to appear as a presentation.
Appear as a Deputation
Persons desiring to present information where it requires potential action by Council shall complete a request to appear as a Deputation.

Regular Council meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month, with Closed Session beginning at at 5:30 p.m., when required and Open Session at 6:30 p.m., in Council Chambers located at 7855 30th Sideroad, Alliston. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Council Agendas and Minutes
Agendas are posted the website on the Thursday prior to the monthly Council meeting. Minutes are posted once approved by Council.
