Over the next few weeks, Township crews will be out performing ditching work in Lisle. Ditching refers to the regrading and movement of material in a ditch. These activities are done periodically as a general maintenance tool to ensure water drains away from the roadway. Over time material such as winter sand can build up in the ditch and impede the flow of water. This maintenance helps improve drainage and prevent future road issues.

Residents may notice small flags placed near the edge of their property. These flags mark underground utility lines such as gas, phone, and internet services. Please do not remove them, as they help workers safely locate and avoid damaging these lines during the ditching process.

Once the work is finished, contractors will return to complete hydroseeding in the area.

Please use caution around work zones and thank you for your patience while this important work is completed!
