We are recruiting a new member for our Community Development and Event Committee. As an advisory committee, the Community Development and Event Committee supports and plans community events and initiatives throughout the Township, including the annual Canada Day Celebration.

The Mandate of the Committee includes:

• To host community events that promote a sense of community and volunteerism throughout the Township.
• To make recommendations to Council regarding new annual community events.
• To foster high levels of communication between Staff, community groups, and additional volunteers that may be required for community events.
• To undertake specific projects as assigned by Township Council.
• To plan events that are consistent with the Township’s Accessibility Standards for Customer Service Policy and Procedures as adopted in accordance with the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Customer Service Standard – Ontario Regulation 429/07.
